With a positive pregnancy test! My husband J and I had been not - not trying to have a baby for about five months when the positive test results came back. I told J on Valentine's day by giving him a book about becoming a Dad and a cold beer.

On October 21st after many hours of labor (I stopped counting) and a forcep delivery in the OR Lila Grace Elizabeth was born. She weighed in at 7lbs, 4oz, was 19" long and had a full head of black hair.

Lila, J and I spent two nights in the hospital and were then sent home to make it on our own!
